Easter Bunny Delights Children in Trout Creek

The Easter Bunny, Mary Nordine, was a special guest at the annual Easter Celebration held at The Trout Creek Library, on April 10, as children happily posed for pictures with Trout Creek’s very own Easter Bunny.

A flurry of creative activities filled the morning as both children and adults dyed and decorated eggs, made Easter cards and bags, and fashioned bunny ear headbands. Sporting their festive bunny ears, children also munched on Easter cookies.

The children enjoyed the adventure of an Easter egg hunt, and they in turn hid eggs for the adults to find. It was noted, however, that the adults were slower and needed hints.

Concluding the program was storytime, featuring a puppet story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, from the library’s well-stocked children’s room. After seeing the variety of books available, many children excitedly checked out books to read at home.

This annual event was sponsored by The Library Committee, Inc. Veteran party planners Karen Fredrickson and Marianne Brady expressed appreciation and congratulations to all participants and helpers for making such an enjoyable celebration.
