Poetry Night

April 17, 2009

Trout Creek Library

A very warm spring day was ushered in as poetry lovers brought their favorite poems

to the Trout Creek Library’s spring Poetry Night. Boys, girls, men, and women

delighted in hearing a poem about Paul Bunyan, a poem called “The Crocodile’s Toothache,” and the magical “Mr. Mistoffelees” by T.S. Eliot.

Original poems delved into the topics of aging, writing poetry, doing something beautiful, and wearing something beautiful like a blue dress in poems titled, “A Poem To Write,” “Turning Sixty-Five,” “My Blue Dress,” and  “Something Pretty.”

A poem titled, “Counting Joy and Blessing” said it all as friends enjoyed peach, cherry, and rhubarb pie together to celebrate the evening.
